We had a lovely trip to The Boutique Cottage this weekend! The cottage was perfect, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and kitted out with everything needed for a home from home feel. We really appreciated the fresh pastries, eggs, bread and butter that were left out for our arrival! There was even a box of dog toys at the cottage which our dog Stanley loved!! This is an amazing little cottage right in the heart of Long Melford in Suffolk. The cottage is always spotless, with lots of great little touches, and a welcome basket of bread, milk, eggs and butter and of course tea and coffee! I stay here 4 or 5 times a year to visit my elderly parents and it's always a pleasure. They had even put up Christmas decorations when I visited just before the holidays so lots of lights and even a  tree! If you are looking for somewhere to use as a base for exploring Suffolk - I cannot recommend this place enough.

The cottage had everything and more that we needed. Gorgeous interior with two large bedrooms and bathrooms! Every detail in the cottage has been considered and designed to cater to everyone…dogs, children and adults! Weekend away with husband. Absolutely lovely place. Bed was heaven best night sleep.  Lovely shower. Has 2 bedrooms both with own bathrooms. Lovely walks and plenty of places to eat. Want to book again next year.

We stayed at the Boutique Cottage for 4 nights over Christmas, which was decorated very tastefully. Whilst the kitchen is not the biggest, it is perfectly equipped and we managed to cook Christmas dinner. Chocolates and wine were left for our arrival, along with other essentials such as bread, butter and milk. Whilst the break was for us to get away, it was nice to have Netflix on the TVs in both the lounge and bedroom. Locally, Dilly Dally almost opposite is a great tearoom, and we had a great meal at The Swan and wonderful takeaway from Youngs Chinese in Sudbury. A drive out to spend Christmas Eve at Aldburgh, and the circular walk at Lavenham on Boxing Day topped off a fantastic break.

Had such a lovely stay at the Boutique Cottage. It was perfect to take some time away after a busy week. From the minute you walk through the door, you feel relaxed, just like home from home. Then from the comfy beds, to the little details like the the White Company toiletries and fluffy bath robes you feel like you’re in a 5 star hotel. Our first visit to Long Melford was also great, so many lovely walks, several pubs and plenty of tea rooms meant we didn’t need to travel far during our short stay. We had the most incredible stay at the cottage, from the moment we arrived we felt so relaxed. On arrival there was fresh bread, cakes and beers in the fridge which was a lovely added bonus! The bed is super comfy and the white company products are lush! I’d definitely recommend taking your pooch with you, our dog Stanley had a great time, the area is super dog friendly so he came everywhere with us. We can’t wait to stay again but for longer next time! 🐾
